Setting or Updating FTP Publishing Credentials
When a Site Builder service is provisioned as an addon to a cPanel, DirectAdmin, or Plesk hosting package, the FTP Publishing Credentials will be set automatically.
For any other hosting control panel (or for a standalone order that is not attached to a hosting package as an addon), you must set the FTP Publishing Credentials manually.
Customers can begin building their site immediately. They will not be affected by FTP Publishing Credentials not being set until they attempt to publish their website.
Setting or Updating FTP Credentials
Locate the order within WHMCS and view the product or addon details. This should look something like the example below (an addon service) and include a Service Management section.
- To set or update the FTP details, edit the values in the FTP Host, FTP Username, FTP Password, and FTP Path fields.
- To save your changes, click Save Changes.
- To push the changes to Site Builder, click Update FTP Publishing Credentials.
You must allow TLS connections in order to successfully connect to FTP via Web.com Site Builder. For more information, see FTP Connection Errors.
